International Bible Church is a non-denominational fellowship of believers whose purpose is to lift up the Lord Jesus Christ and to spread the Good News of the Gospel to our city, our nation, and the world. We believe that:

■ The Bible is the Word of God

■ There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost

■ Jesus Christ is Savior, Healer, and Lord

■ Baptism for believers is by immersion in water

■ Baptism in the Holy Spirit is accompanied by speaking in other tongues

■ The gifts of the Holy Spirit are for Spirit-filled believers

■ In the soon-coming of our Lord Jesus Christ

■ Divine healing is for people today

■ That all believers are to share the love of Christ with the lost and dying world

Stand and Sing

…We will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us…

II Chronicles 20:9

Lift Up Our Hands

I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name, I will lift up my hands. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord. I spread out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you as a parched land.

Psalms 63:4; 134:2 and 143:6

Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy…but everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement, and comfort.

I Corinthians 14:1,3

Gift of the Holy Spirit

For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.
I Corinthians 14:14-15 Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord…”

Ephesians 5:19

Praying and Praising Aloud

When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. “Sovereign Lord,” they said, “you make the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.” Acts 4:24; Shout with joy to God…” Psalm 66:1; Let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Psalm 95:1; Shout for joy to the Lord…shout for joy before the Lord, the King. Psalm 98:4,6; Shout for joy to the Lord… Psalm 100:1

Is anyone of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up.

James 5:14-15

How long has International Bible Church (IBC) been in existence?

The church’s birth date was in August 2002. We are a young church connected to a 65-year old Bible Institute. The Institute is no longer active but the church is thriving.

What Denomination is IBC?

IBC is not affiliated with any denomination.  We have people from many denominational backgrounds who call IBC their church home.  We also welcome people with no church background.

Where are you located?

We’re located in Northwest San Antonio on the corner of Benrus Boulevard and Ingram Road. From Loop 410 take the Ingram Road exit. Turn inside the loop on Ingram and drive 2 miles. Turn left on Benrus. Take the second driveway on your left. You will be in front of our sanctuary and learning center.

What do you believe?

Summarized briefly, We believe that God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one God who created all things.  We believe that God came to the earth as a man, Jesus Christ, died for our sins, rose from the dead and returned to heaven.  We believe that God can make us new and The Bible is God’s Word to us.  It tells us about him and teaches us how to live.

When are your services, and how long do they last?

We have Sunday School for all ages at 9:30 a.m. and Sunday morning services at 10:30 am.  Many people come in 15-20 minutes early to enjoy coffee and fellowship.  Service lasts approximately 1 -1/2 hours.  We also have Wednesday Bible Study at 7 p.m. when Bible scholars teach various Bible principles in a casual setting; each study lasting from four to 10 weeks.

How many people attend IBC?

The church is continually growing, but currently, attendance is around 200-250.

Are the people friendly?

We sure hope so.  We want to IBC be “a place to belong.” You’ll be greeted before you can get inside the sanctuary.

When I come, how should I dress?

Comfortable, casual clothes are fine.  We just want you to come.  We focus on worship rather than a wardrobe.

So, what is your worship service like?

Happy! Celebrative! Relaxed! Warm! Awesome! These are some of the words that come to mind.  We like to describe it as informal, but well-planned – carried out with excellence, dignity, and sensitivity.  You will hear God’s Word applied to everyday life.

Tell me about the music.

Our music style is contemporary.  Our praise band and singers will lead you in a variety of music from praise and worship choruses to hymns on occasion.

Do you have childcare?

Yes. We are committed to serving families.  Our children’s ministry is a high priority in our church.  We have two classes of “Kids on Track” for children ages 3-5 and 6-12. Our “Little Lambs” is for infants up to age 3 years.

Will my teens feel included?

Our primary goal is to have our youth involved in lots of fun activities to keep them interested in serving God.  Our Sunday School class presents a dynamic worship environment and relevant Bible teaching that encourages the teens to believe…belong…and become!

How can I learn more?
