Directed Study occurs when a student
receives a privately tutored course directly from an
appropriate representative of the IBC academic community
outside of regularly scheduled class meetings. |
 | Dual Enrollment
occurs when a residential student enrolls in either an
IBC online course or a course of any discipline in an
institution other than IBC and does so at the same time. |
 | IBC Online Course
is a course offered via the internet under the authority
f IBC. |
 | IBC Online Program
is a curriculum offered via the internet under the
authority of IBC. |
 | Institutional Course
is a course offered by any institution other than IBC.
Normally, this would involve a course a student has been
authorized to take to fill a deficiency in his/her
residential program. This would typically occur when a
course is not being offered by IBC in a time slot
available to the student. Authorization for Directed
Studies and Institutional Courses is the sole
prerogative of the Chief Academic Officer of IBC.
